Today is Mother’s Day in South Africa and allow me to say,” Happy Mother’s Day” to all mothers out there. But this will be more than a well wishing message. I would like to take this opportunity to appreciate The Many Hats That A Mother Wears. That is my topic of this blog actually.
On behalf of the male fraternity & also on behalf of Divex Edutraincon FET College , I herby express my gratitude to motherhood holistically. On behalf of the male fraternity because I am a man & on behalf of Divex Edutraincon because as educators ,we parent students for 33% of the 24 hour day. So we do relate to what mothers go through.
Briefly, these are the many hats a mother wears:
- Nurturer
- Protector
- Enforcer
- Empowerer
- Empathizer
- Taskmaster
- Hero
- Helper
- Wife
- Partner
The list is not exhaustive and subtitles given may not be how other authors express it but this suffices for now.
We express gratitude in all that you do for us as men and for our kids…and the community at large. You deserve the best of blessings from The Almighty God. May He alone award you.
I am aware of the challenges you meet on this journey but I encourage you to be strong with patience. Don’t give up. You reward will manifest one day.
