Train Smash! Are you proactive or reactive?

I have always been a proactive person but I have had to work with work mtes who are good Crisis Managers. There are those who thrive on crisis….and show their abilities to solve a crisis post event. With myself I would rather be preventative,proactive and avoid a crisis in the first place. But its very hard to survive and live in an enviroment where most people are reactive to crisis.

So….watching the video,I made a conclusion that the law enforcement officers and other officials present DID NOT RADIO THE CONTROL ROOM THE MOMENT THEY ARRIVED AT THE SCENE….a truck straddled across a rail line…Had that happened,in no way would the train smashed into the truck,knowing railroad protocols and systems. This train smash could have been avoided by been proactive.
